Second Cousins (Once Removed)
My second cousin, once removed, is a special friend of mine
She walks with me...
she talks with me...
And all around us the world starts to shine.
My second cousin, once removed, looks like me, I guess.
We've both got fast legs.
We've both got bright eyes.
And we're too busy to notice the rest.
Her Daddy's Dad is my Daddy's Uncle, and vice versa, I think.
Sorting out cousins
can be lots of work,
but I know that we all interlink.
No matter how many times removed, I know she'll be there for me
'cause second cousins,
even once removed,
are faithful, friendly, and free.

Cute! You have such a great talent for poetry.
Seriously...can you rub some of that talent off on me?
How perfect! I have a cousin like that, second cousin my age. We were inseperable growing up, and even now still talk at least once a week.
Holy cow! You are so so so so so so so may I emphasize SOOO talented and so stinking hilarious. I'm here at the libray at our school where I should be quiet and here I am snickering and snorting. :-)
What a cute poem. I really liked your feast post too. You put being a Mom in such pretty words. Thanks for writing.
