Nod

Slightly Babied, Super Intelligent, Highly Sensitive, Anti-Everything, Always Repentant

Nod got to be the baby much more than any of his brothers or sisters. I'll admit, I babied him. I didn't see it at the time, but looking back, it's fairly plain to see. Nonetheless, Nod is a wonderful kid who is only slightly spoiled. (And working on being un-spoiled).

Before he started Kindergarten this year, I would have called him an extremely shy child, but something has been awakened in him since school began, and I see that he shows the real Nod to much more of the world than he ever has before. I'm glad, because he's a neat kid.

Just thirteen months younger than Bal, these two are like twins at times. Nod is anti-everything. He loves to say, like, and feel the opposite of what you expect he will. I think he's just figuring out what he does want to say, like, and feel.

I forget that he's barely five years old because conversations with him can resemble adult ones. He has remarkable insight into the world and always wants to think about "what if" scenarios.

There are days that he works me harder than all of the other kids combined, but at the end of the night when I've collapsed on the couch and think all of the kids are finally asleep, he'll slip downstairs, give me a soft kiss, and say, "I'm sorry I made you have hard work today. I'll do better tomorrow."

Yes, my 5 year old Eva tells me sometimes that she isn't INTO something...she is probably the most sensitive to me out of them all but that being said it is NOT at all times....
